You can often find inspiration for your writing in the most unusual places! Today, we look at just an inkling of what you can learn from the one and only, awesome Bruce Lee.
Bruce Lee was a creative master in many fields, crafting his own unique type of martial arts called Jeet Kune Do, as well as bringing his talents to the entertainment industry in his writing, directing, and acting.
He believed that it was important to live by the lessons one learned in martial arts, expanding them to other parts of your life.
J.W. Alden applies Bruce Lee’s wisdom to the writing craft in his article, “10 Bruce Lee Quotes That Can Improve Your Writing“.
One of my favorites:
“If you put limits on everything you do—physical or anything else—it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there; you must go beyond them.”
This quote also applies just as well to your dream of publishing your work! As life coaches, counselors, and therapists, your life’s work is to help others. Think of how many more people you can help when you publish your ideas.
So, like Bruce Lee advises, don’t limit yourself! Go beyond your self-imposed limits and share your ideas with the world. You can do it!
Enjoy learning more about this Bruce Lee quote and others in J.W. Alden’s excellent article.
